Steamed mussels with white wine and saffron

+ Ingredients

  • 1,2kg. mussels in shell
  • 30g. olive oil
  • 100g. chopped white onion
  • 50g. chopped green onion
  • 5g. garlic
  • 50g. dry white wine
  • 50g. chopped tomatoes
  • 20g. grated carrot
  • 100g. chicken broth
  • 10g. parsley
  • 10g. basil
  • salt, pepper


+ Execution

  • Heat in a pot the olive oil and add the onions, garlic and mussels.
  • Add the wine, cover the pan and allow to steam until the mussels start to open up.
  • Add the remaining ingredients and continue cooking for 2 min.
  • Serve by adding a few drops of olive oil.
